Perfect Day

Today it's beautiful outside so Kyle and I had fun working in the slightly neglected gardens. The grass is invading so I pulled it out by the bucket-full. I barely made a dent, and I know I left a lot of roots stuck in the soil. There's so much grass I wonder if the grass is invading the gardens or if perhaps the gardens have started to invade the lawn. I think it's time to invest in a barrier between the two, since they don't play nicely together.

While we were working I set some blackberry sun tea out to steep. By the time we were finished, it was perfect (with a sprig of lemon balm from the garden). I hope tomorrow is just as nice, as it's Memorial Day, so we don't have to go to work. My family is coming to visit and we hope to possibly canoe, put some kabobs on the grill, and hit some croquet balls around the yard if the weather allows.

Wascally Wabbit

Our garden is starting to really take off with spring-blooming flowers. The rabbit in our yard, unfortunately, is almost as big as Punkin, and is eating our tulips.
